Moving into big-time college football is a larger challenge than it might seem. To become a NCAA Division 1 team (FBS), the college must have a full scholarship program, a large enough stadium, facilities to attract players and the ability to hire the right coaches to handle the rigors of major college sports.

Some college football coaches want an NCAA rule change that would allow them to scrimmage against other schools during spring drills.
